Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing sales team. This role focuses on account management, developing new business, maintaining client relationships, supporting operational processes, and driving revenue growth across a portfolio of industrial and specialty chemical products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing and post-sale support
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within target industries
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotes, and proposals
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, and technical support) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability and prevent stockouts or overstock situations
  • Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to align inventory with customer demand and sales forecasts
  • Assist in demand planning and provide input based on customer forecasts and pipeline activity
  • Ensure accurate order entry and fulfillment in coordination with operations teams
  • Help resolve shipping discrepancies, returns, and customer complaints related to delivery or product condition
  • Track order status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to customers
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in CRM systems
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments

Work & Travel

  • This is a remote position with 25–50% travel
  • Travel includes meeting with current and prospective customers
  • Quarterly travel to company headquarters in New Jersey
  • Occasional travel to industry exhibitions and trade shows may be required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in chemical distribution, industrial products, or B2B sales
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand technical product information and translate it into customer solutions
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to support our Midwest team. This role will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and play a key part in managing existing customer relationships, coordinating orders, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and internal teams. This position is designed as a developmental role with a clear path to transition into an Outside Sales position within approximately 1–2 years, based on performance, product knowledge, and market development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Sales Manager in managing and growing existing customer accounts
  • Process and track customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Maintain and update pricing in internal systems
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and communication
  • Coordinate with plant locations and supply chain teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Assist with product samples, approvals, and customer qualification processes

Work & Travel

  • Inside Sales Phase: primarily remote position
  • Attendance at quarterly sales meetings at company headquarters is required
  • Occasional travel to industry exhibitions and trade shows may be required
  • Transition to Outside Sales (after ~1–2 years): role will evolve into a field-based position

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
  • Interest in developing a career in outside sales
